Licensed care
NAFS & RUH operates in strict accordance with Canadian professional healthcare regulations and privacy legislation (including PIPEDA and Ontario PHIPA). Clinical psychotherapy is provided exclusively by credentialed practitioners registered with their respective statutory regulatory bodies (such as the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario).
Where you can be seen from
Whether a clinician can see you depends on where you are physically located at the time of each session. Online sessions go ahead only when your clinician is licensed for that province or country. Spiritual mentorship and learning sessions are educational and are not psychotherapy.
Booking a time
When you choose a time online we hold it for you for 15 minutes while you review and confirm. If you do not confirm within that time, it becomes available to others again.
Confidentiality
What you share in therapy stays between you and your clinician. Clinical notes, messages and intake answers can only be opened by the clinician assigned to you. Practice owners and administrative staff cannot read them.
Fees, refunds and cancellations
Academy course payments are handled securely by Stripe. Clinical session fees are clearly stated in Canadian Dollars (CAD) with no hidden charges. Free appointment cancellation is supported up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled session time.
Not an emergency service
NAFS & RUH is not a crisis response or emergency service. If you are experiencing an immediate mental health crisis, acute distress, or safety emergency, please call 911, the Canada Suicide Crisis Helpline (988), or visit the nearest hospital emergency department immediately.
